Books are both entertaining and knowledgeable. People of all ages reads book according to their likes and preferences. You may read book of any category or size but the basic format and structure of all the books remains the same.
The books you read in your school time start with a message from the author and as you proceed, you come across an index that details you about the contents of your book. The index is important and helps you to know the page number of a particular chapter. Index helps in saving your time as you can directly open the page of the chapter by looking at the page number.
Each chapter begins with a unique heading and is written in bold and big letters at the beginning of the chapter. On each page of a particular chapter name of the chapter and the book is printed on the top left of the page. It helps you to know if you are finished or still reading the same chapter.
Various other books like novels and storybooks also follow the same pattern. Some books are divided in two or three parts. In order, bring the separation of one part of the book from other to your notice a blank page mentioning the name of the part is inserted inside the book. Various notebooks on which you work also come with an index page. You can write the name of your chapter on the front-page index.
